Bouillon is located in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, in the canton of Arzacq-Arraziguet earthen Soubestre, 29 km from Pau, capital of Bearn, and 20 km from Orthez.
If the origin of the lordship of Bouillon remains unknown, so the uncertainty weighs on the chronological appearance of Castelnau.
The terrier of 1777 kept in the hall reveals the existence of remains of a weathered wall. On the cadastre of 1827 the circular plot on which the church is located suggests a mound leveled and the manor could occupy the old farmyard.
But the point is dominant in the footsteps of his craft ceramic family Bouillon Garos and by making routers that are mainly conducted in the late 15th century to the 1930s, as attested by the discovery of kilns, objects and cooking vessels or table.
Proud of their past common Bouillon and Garos have formed an association "Heritage and Pottery Soubestre Earth", the association has made a museum in Garos, an educational workshop for pottery Bouillon, and a replica of conventional oven, and organizes an annual pottery market that brings together many artists, an exhibition of traditional pottery, animation shop, a good meal and a lively atmosphere excellent throughout the weekend. Market potter Bouillon and Garos generally takes place during the month of October each year.
Although Bouillon is the smallest village in the township, 110 inhabitants in an area of 327 ha, it's good to live.
Bouillon is attached to its traditions, not wanting to drive, as well as festivities for the creation of a public building, multipurpose room, playground, outdoor educational workshop pottery.
- The Common Heritage Association and Bouillon and Potteries in Tierra Soubestre delivering the development of the past shared between potter and Garos Bouillon.
