Common famous Guadeloupe, Bouillante, called "islet-to-Guava" when it was founded in the 17th century, is one of the oldest towns of Guadeloupe.

Its current name comes from the many hot springs (80 °) that flow across the area, including under the sea If the people have long cooked eggs, the true natural wealth led to the implantation of a geothermal well to Bouillante. The electricity produced - the resulting steam turbines - is absolutely clean and illuminates the "Kaz" Pointe Noire Old Inhabitants. At the hot springs there are other natural resources: the beauty of the seabed. The town has become the major site of diving in Guadeloupe.

• Scuba diving at La Reserve Cousteau, Malendure range. Observation of cetaceans (whales, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, beaked whales ...), watching turtle nesting sites (June-August).
