Bordères-sur-l'Échez's emblem is the "Cabilat", a kind of catfish living in the Échez. Until a few years he was the emblem of the rugby team of the village.

In the tradition, there are the "Conscripts". These are the youth of the village between 18 and 20 years preparing the village festival. Before, this allowed them during the serenade aboard a float decorated by them (two weeks before the feast of the village, they went round the village for all people and in exchange for candy, small plastic flowers or cigarettes villagers gave them one each) to raise money so they can leave for military service with a small stipend. Today that money is used for all expenses. Similarly for Easter, there was the "paschal lamb". Always the same conscripts bought a lamb in a peasant village, were going to be blessed at Mass and then in a decorated chariot passed among inhabitants of the village center, which in return gave them eggs. The night they met, ate lamb and made an omelet. Unfortunately today it has lost.

For jogging enthusiasts, there is a path in the Bois du Commandeur.

Every year, the last weekend of August occurs the village fete on 4 days. Course with rides, contests and bocce balls. Moreover, in recent years the village associations came together to share every night a good meal at the bodega. It eats very well, more young people in music school formed a band that animates the entire evening.
