Small town whose specificity is that the village is separated into two quite separate places: Bar at the bottom (but still on a ridge) and Bor, above, also a dominant position. Bar has preserved many very old houses of stone and beams, roofs, very typical of the region. Situated on a ridge, as blocking the valley is remarkable arrival in Bar at night is worth a look.
Bor is surrounded by fields, the mood is softer, but there are also a great view.
Important buildings have been restored, such as the rectory and former school.
SIGHTSEEING
Hiking trails are numerous and help you better discover the town. For example you can go to Bor Bar by roads. You will discover the Roman road, the tips to prevent erosion and harvest the good ground on the trail. You will discover the mills, cabins for grilling chestnuts, terraces once used for vineyards.
The Viaur passing below the bar is a swimming area, you can practice (with hardware) kayaking or canoeing.
On the town, along the Viaur, there is also a climbing site built. Since the summer of 2011, there is even a via ferrata, the equipment is rented on site. This is a great place!
Farms (organic or not), and artisans (workshop binder, leather shop) will open their doors.

Every village character of the Aveyron, and also of the Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne, and the houses, are within reasonable distance. Miss: Najac, Belcastel, Sauveterre-de-Rouergue, Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Villeneuve-le-Roc Peyrusse in Aveyron.
In neighboring departments, just across the Viaur: Castle Laguépie, Bruniquel, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Tarn Penne ... All villages that are truly worth, the gorges of the Aveyron.
You can also discover the city of Rodez, Millau Viaduct and, Figeac and its famous museum, and Foissac cave ... and Albi, World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which is only 45 km!
