Bonneval is located on the access road to the Col de la Madeleine, the famous Tour de France. It is a gateway to the massive Lauzière area of protected nature.

• The built heritage of Bonneval consists of buildings related to the activity of traditional agro-pastoral villages: the houses clinging to the slope, including home and barn, surmounted by a large barn. In each village, there is also the oven bread, Bachal, church or chapel.
• Since Bonneval, many hikes:

• Trails loop 2 to 5 hours to explore the forest and pastures.
• Hiking trails out in the pastures, towards the peaks of the massif.
• Trail Tour Lauzière into six stages, with accommodation in the alpine chalets, allows hikers to discover the two sides of the massif (Tarentaise and Maurienne).
• In winter, snowshoes are marked four circuits, and many ski touring routes are possible.

• Other possible activities are: cycling, sport fishing, canyoning ...

Bonneval holds its annual festival the first Sunday in August.
