Boitron, Bertron in 1082 is primarily the "hill" that overlooks the countryside and which offers a magnificient view of all the land of Essay and beyond as a clear day you can even see the Cathedral of Sees, a distance of 8 km.

On this hill that Talvas, the lords of Bellême erected a castle which the English took over in 1419 and was destroyed around the 16th century.

The excavations uncovered the remains of three walls of the dungeon. Today, a remnant is visible from afar: the round tower of the 12th overlooking the valley.
