History:

The foundation is certainly Béthon earlier in the 3rd century since its history is intimately linked to that of Oisseau-le-Petit, known as a "Roman villa.

In the Middle Ages and during the following centuries the sovereignty Béthon has often been the cause of conflicts between local lords.

Located on the axis Le Mans-Alençon, the town will suffer bombardment during the progress of the 2nd Armored Division of General Leclerc.
