Common east of Bourgueil, which relies on the hillside at the entrance to the valley Changeon.

The vineyard Benais an area of 200 hectares holds a special place in the Bourgueil appellation. It is mainly located on clay-limestone, which gives wines with solid structure, closed in their youth but age beautifully. Another feature of Benais is the presence of numerous caves carved into the tufa. Formerly career which was extracted from building stone (some remained in operation until 1950), they are now ripening wine.

In the village, a beautiful house entrance door wide arc, left to admire the modern façade flanked by two domed towers of the castle. It is currently owned by the city of Boulogne-Billancourt who welcomes his children.

The church has a vaulted Angevin altar and pews from the 17th century.
