Béhuard, World Heritage by UNESCO, is the only town to be an island on the Loire. About twenty kilometers southwest of Angers, Loire village is surrounded by two branches of the Loire. Thus, the Loire heavily involved in the identity landscape Béhuard. The floods from December to May condition the life and organization on the island and by the same landscape.

Tourism mecca of Anjou, is the smallest Béhuard "City of Character" of Anjou and Western Loire. She has only one hundred year round residents and many resorts open in the summer.

The inevitable is "Our Lady of Béhuard", a royal chapel perched on a rock. A pilgrimage on August 15, brings a lot of believers and tourists.

The stroller comes Béhuard for the charm of the village, to tour the island on foot, along the Loire, stroll on the beaches, fishing quietly.

The trail "Wandering around the island" community of interest classified by the agglomeration "Angers Loire Metropole" complete along the Loire backpacking trails. Hikers can observe on the shores of many birds: terns, herons and corncrake, they can also admire the willows, ash tadpoles, hawthorn and wild clematis.

The last weekend of August: Feast of the flat (small boat of the Loire) organized by the union initiatives.
