40 km south of Dijon, this little fortified town of 23 000 inhabitants, as was encircled by its ramparts and bastions, and is still in the early 21st century trading center of Burgundy. In its venerable houses wines ripen nicely nectars called "wines".
Parliamentary capital in the fifteenth century in the duchy of Burgundy which prefigures Europe, this city of art and story illustrates the spiritual adventure, cultural, economic, and soon a province in the heart of Europe.

Gastronomy is an integral part of the life of a Burgundian. Fine cuisine, full of tradition and innovation.
A good table is carefully balanced: the gougeres cheese as hors d'oeuvres around a Kir to open the appetite. A ham marbling or Burgundy snails, or the poached eggs are a delicious entry.
