Beaumont-le-Hareng faces the forest Eawy, one of the most beautiful beech forests of France (7 200 ha). The name of this small village cauchois, just 3.5 km from the intersection of highways A28 (Calais-Rouen-Le Mans) and 29 (St-Quentin-Amiens-Honfleur), would a companion of William the Conqueror, from the Eure, who actually received the fee as a reward after the battle of Hastings in 1066. The village lies on the old road lugger leading fish from Dieppe to Paris on the Boulevard Poissonniere.

Beaumont-le-Hareng has two churches, a botanical garden (gardens of Bellevue), a rose garden with old roses Norman, walking tours including a forest Eawy going through the magnificent golf of Saint-Saens.
