At the heart of the Minervois, between Cevennes in the north and Canal du Midi in the South, Azille, built on a rocky outcrop, stands proudly above the famous vineyard wines.

In the old moat around its walls, a magnificent avenue of ancient plane trees encircling the town and provides a cooling shade during the hot hours of the day.

Its 14th century church, a Gothic southern and whose bell tower is remarkable for its elevation, is home to one of its chapels a beautiful Madonna and Child multicolored stone from the same period.

South of the village, superb views of Mont Alaric and the Pyrenees.

The last Sunday in April: Flowers Festival with competitions for children, participation of schoolchildren, flower market, launching the contest houses with flowers, craft fair, exhibitions of paintings in the vaults of the Syndicat d'Initiative, entertainment all day . Around May 1: Feria with band'azillane.

The last Sunday of October: Autumn Festival, round flavors and crafts, with sales of roasted chestnuts and new wine.

Close to the village, Port Minervois on the Canal du Midi and Lake Jouarres offer guests the opportunity of an unforgettable ride on the Canal, or a relaxing after swimming.
