The battery Azeville:

This fortress is now a museum that can penetrate 350 meters underground to explore the architecture of the blockhouse. An exclusive movie traces the construction of the Atlantic Wall and present relations between the occupying German forces and the people, through the testimony of AZEVILLE.

The tour tries to give a concrete vision of what could be the daily lives of 170 men in this environment of reinforced concrete

• The location of the barracks where soldiers could enjoy the evening and a drink around two pianos.
• The 350 meters underground that linked the different bunkers.
• Ammunition bunkers protected by two meters of concrete and strict security measures.
• The supply of drinking water.
• The shelters can accommodate 10 to 12 folding beds, a periscope and telephones. Ventilation and showers nearby had to restrict the effects of a gas attack.
• The first platform of anti-aircraft fire, moved in early 1942 on one of the batteries once completed.
• The casemate No. 1 position with his shooting, his ammunition compartment and a room where food and other survival kits allowed to stand for election.

The battery is now completely independently discovered through an audio guide in six languages.
