Village of 955 inhabitants in Lower Navarre, located east of Hasparren (4 km).
The town is located in the valley of the Arberoue. It is crossed by the Joyeuse and its tributary, the Garraldako erreka, as well as the stream Arberoue.
The activity of the municipality is primarily agricultural.
A company in the aerospace industry and space is located in the industrial area of Ayherre.
The Mill on the Huhagun Joyeuse, 19th century, was transformed into hydro.
Its name comes from Basque "Eihera," the mill. A century ago, 14 mills were still working for the majority. Today only one is in working order.
