Located on a plateau "south" overlooking the valley of Morzine, Avoriaz 1800 is at the heart of the largest international ski area in Europe: Les Portes du Soleil. A package of 12 stations common to the Portes du Soleil, giving access to 650 km of tracks, allows skiers to cross the border freely and give itself a gourmet stop in Switzerland.

A page of history ... The Chapel of Prisoners: At the entrance to the station, the Chapel of the prisoners is shaped like the prow. Designed in 1960 by architect Faublée, this work is dedicated to the memory of deportees from 1940-45. Despite traditional materials, it foreshadows the contemporary style of the resort.
The bell tower of the Tourist Office: Built in 1984 by architect Jacques Labro, the steeple Avoriaz 1800 is contemporary in style.
