• History:

• Located at the crossroads of routes between the Old and in Avranches Bayeux Conde-sur-Noireau, the site is occupied Aunay-sur-Odon since Gallo-Roman.
• The Lord of Aunay participated in the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
• In 1131, an abbey was founded by the Hommet, Constables of Normandy and Aunay grows and prospers until the British invasions of the 14th century. Aunay remained a typical village church until the Revolution.
• Henry 2nd of England granted special protection Aunay and Countess de Tesse obtained confirmation of established market in the city.
• In 1895, Aunay becomes Aunay-sur-Odon.
• Completely destroyed by the bombing of June 12, 1944, Aunay-sur-Odon was the first town in Normandy rebuilt by the Marshall Plan, having completed this work in 1950.
