The village is perched on a Aubazine promontory sunny. Houses, shops and hotels are clustered around a shady square near the ancient abbey which the town owes its existence. The abbey church was built in the second half of the 12th century. It's an accomplishment Cistercian Romanesque adds to the quality of its architecture that its furniture: you can find among others, a renowned liturgical wardrobe, the tomb of the founder, Saint-Etienne and a Obazine Virgin pity the fifteenth.
