The development of Arzacq takes place in three phases: in the vicinity of 10th century houses and the early church are concentrated around the castle mound surrounded by ditches and two speakers (current area of Lower Town). Then in the late 13th century or early fourteenth, Arzacq has become an important market, the village lies east of the current around Republic Square, surrounded by arcades. Finally, following the post-medieval urban sprawl is organized around the old place called Berry on the register in 1827 (currently Marcadieu), former waste ground reserved for transhumant herds.
SIGHTSEEING
A new parish church of St Peter was built in the second half of the 19th century by the architect Gustave Levy County back from the Republic Square, replacing the old one, too eccentric. Inside: sculpted group of the Virgin and Child surrounded by angels, limits the fifteenth-sixteenth century, polychrome linden tree in the rear flat from the early church. Set of 23 stained glass dated 1865 and signed Emile Thibaud, Clermont-Ferrand.
Republic Square, in the courtyard of the house hosting the "Bar des Arcades", circular stair tower topped by a dome slate called Tour de Peich, leading the old rectangular main building turned into surrender and belonging to the neighboring plot. A few kilometers from the village center, on the local road 946, leading to Arzacq in Orthez, down, washing the 19th century topped by a roof in the shape of a horseshoe housing oval basin.
