Armillac owes its name to a Armillius rich Gallo-Roman. Armillac consists of a core, the village, around which the villages of Briffaut of Galand, du Moulin and the pigeon. Mixed farming and livestock are in the spotlight: tobacco, cereals, milk production.

Church of the 15th century sponsored by the Blessed Virgin under the title of the Assumption. It has a belfry to 3 bays. The facade is based on powerful buttresses. A semi-circular apse completes the nave vaulted arches and lighted by tall, narrow windows. The interior features beautiful stained glass windows, a wooden pulpit and an altar of white marble.
