Argenton-sur-Creuse, tourist center of the Val de Creuse, took over from the Gallo-Roman Argentomagus in Saint-Marcel.
Ancient fortified place, it has evolved over the ages to become a dynamic and friendly small town, with modern neighborhoods harmoniously with the authenticity of the old quarters of the Middle Ages.
