SIGHTSEEING

Saint-Sulpice church: Sold to the Revolution as a national asset and become much dilapidated, it was restored by an architect Montluçon in 1876. Only the walls of the nave (Romanesque) and the base of the head (Merovingian) are retained. The lobby supports the platform with beautiful painted wooden pillars. The stained glass windows dating from the 19th century. On the north wall of the nave, is the will of Sir William lapidary of the Ages which refers to a gift in 1416 in order to say a Mass every week forever for the remission of their souls and those of their friends (ranked Subject History in 1918). The frame is shaped like inverted ship's hull, and the choir walls are covered with painted plaster and the sanctuary is decorated with magnificent trompe l'oeil.

Recreation area: The town of Archignat has a recreational area where you can find a mini-golf, a roller skating rink, a tray for sports, a petanque area, tennis court, table tennis tennis, a fitness trail, plus a pond for fishing.

Chapel Frontenat (twelfth century): Opposite the entrance of the chapel is a source of healing water. Originally dedicated to St. Anne, the fountain is topped by an ancient niche housing a representation of St. Peter that just down the statue and he soaked the feet so that "the sky opens its locks." According to legend, a lord was cured of colic by drinking the water and a pilgrimage lasted until recently.
