Traditional village of Entre-Deux-Mers mainly oriented towards agriculture and more specifically to the wine. Arbis has a medieval castle (Castle of Benauge) which gave its name to "district of Benauge" in Bordeaux. The castle is private, it can be visited only very rarely and only certain parts.
The assets consist of the castle (around the 14th century), Gothic church, but also some old buildings such as water mills (two in fair condition).
The town has a tennis court.
