Aramon "Balcony of the Languedoc Provence" is located right bank of the Rhône, downstream from Avignon, in front of the Montagnette dear to Alphonse Daudet and Frederic Mistral. It is a land that smells of Provence and its culture. Near Avignon, Aramon is a large village, strongly attached to traditional values. Located at the confluence of the Rhone and the Gardon's history is strongly marked by the presence of water.
The man from the Neolithic period took place in the hills overlooking the River. In the 15th century the manor was owned by Diane de Poitiers. And prosperity of its port in the 17th century earned him the construction of many mansions. The turning lanes and celebrities abound. Here the birthplace of Henri Pitot, who built the bridge and other road attached to the Pont du Gard (1745) and invented the famous Pitot tube.
