History: The first mention of the parish dates back to the 11th century, but the foundations are even older and date back to the days of clearing of forest Perseigne. Ancinnes, large municipality consists of several hamlets, living mainly from agriculture. The few existing industries will lead to rural depopulation and a significant population decline. In 1944, Ancinnes was a place of fighting between the Germans and the Division of General Leclerc, homes were destroyed and there are several dead.
