Located halfway between Lake Annecy and the Bourget, Alby clings to the rocky walls that Cheran has dug into the mountain. Alby-sur-Chéran is located in the heart of the Albanians, the gateway to the Alpine foothills of the Massif Wallows and Semnoz foot (1710 m).

The former Gallo-Roman Arbiacum was born a ford on the Cheran. What most characterizes this town is its medieval heyday: on the edge of Geneva and Savoy own, Alby is an economic and administrative center and the Middle Ages shaped the city. • The Museum of the Shoe:
