Located 15 km south of Amiens, in the basin of the metropolis life Amiens, Ailly-sur-Noye is served by motorways A1, A16 and A29, but also by train. EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS

The green of the water of Ailly-sur-Noye is the theater for 25 years performing live "The breath of the earth." This sound and light brings to life 2,000 years of history. Thanks to 600 volunteer extras, 35 horsemen, 3000 costumes, games, water and light, fireworks, history of Picardy in Gaul until the 2nd World War is told in a magnificent scenery. Ailly-sur-Noye is also known for its traditional "Clumsy". The "Clumsy" is actually a fair which takes place on Ascension Day. It is likely that the word "clumsy", which is not found in any text, is of ancient origin and medieval. It is part of folklore Ailly-sur-Noye is the sole heir.

ATTRACTIONS, LEISURES AND ACTIVITES AROUND

Folleville, 30 miles south of Amiens, was endowed in the late Middle Ages to the exceptional architecture that formed the castle and church. Vestiges of the castle still emerges from the elegant silhouette turret staircase ending in a "watches" observation which reaches 25 meters in height - listed in the inventory of historical monuments in 1992. The centerpiece of the church is the tomb of Raoul de Lannoy and his wife Jeanne de Poix, introducing forms part of the Italian Renaissance in Picardy. Every year, the last weekend of August "The Medieval Folleville" gathers troops medieval craftsmen merchants, armed men, jousting on horseback, flying birds of prey, a bear ... For two days, small in size but large in its heritage, the village is Folleville its party clothes. What better way to spend an unforgettable day. All four protagonists begin to show you a fun and educational life of the Middle Ages through demonstrations and public participation. The surroundings of the castle is transformed into a true medieval camp with multicolored encampments, period furniture and accessories, campfires ... without forgetting the many purists who live there and live their passion.
