The Voie Sacrée (Sacred road) - Tourism in the Meuse

During the First World War, this road connecting Bar-le-Duc to Verdun was used to deliver fresh supplies to the French troops in Verdun. After the end of the war, it was given the name Voie Sacrée, which stands for Sacred road, because of the vital role it had played.
