The Villa Savoye, known as "Les Heures Claires", was designed between 1928 and 1931 in Poissy, Yvelines, by the famous architect, town planner and decorator Le Corbusier. Built for the Savoye family, the house is a remarkable example of 20th-century architecture.
This unusually symmetrical masterpiece perfectly illustrates the visionary designer's theory of the "five points of modern architecture", with its pilotis, roof terrace, freely designed façade, free floor plan and long, horizontal windows. The villa, surrounded by a pretty wooded park, has been a listed Historic Monument since 1965, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2016.
Guided tours are available, along with activities, courses and workshops for all ages. The Villa Savoye also hosts many exhibitions throughout the year.
