The location of an ancient abbey and favourite holiday destination of King Francis I's sister Marguerite of Angoulême, Tusson is a charming village that has preserved its heritage and kept a number of beautiful old restored residences. Among them can be found Marguerite of Angoulême's lodge dating from the 16th century, which today houses the Maison du Patrimoine (heritage museum). Next to this Renaissance lodge lies down a magnificent stretches a magnificent medieval monastic garden.
