The Tricastin truffle - Tourism in the Vaucluse

It is in the Tricastin region, an area covering the the north of Vaucluse and the south of the Drôme, that the famous "black diamond" grows, a truffle awarded the AOC quality label. The key to successful truffle growing is the right climate, soil and host tree (oak). Truffles are gathered between November and March.
