Listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Saint-Amand-sur-Fion possesses a magnificent church boasting a gallery porch looking like a cloister. Timber-framed houses, river, former lavoirs (communal washing places) and mills add to the charm of this place.
Village agricultural and wine located 2 km from the RN44, between Vitry-le-François and Châlons-en-Champagne. "The wonder": the church of Saint-Amand (monument) was built between 1138 and 1147. Only two gates, a tower containing a spiral staircase and parts of the nave attest to the Romanesque period. It was rebuilt in white chalk in the 13th century in the Gothic style. Its porch is like a cloister.
