In the commune of Mézangers in the Coëvrons (Mayenne), Rocher Castle stands in the middle of an English-style park. This listed Historic Monument is an elegant granite building built in the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, whose Romantic form is reflected in the water of a peaceful pond. Once owned by the great families of Maine and Brittany, Rocher Castle bristles with towers with pointed roofs, and has a splendid Renaissance gallery with five archways on its main façade.

The old legend of the Green Lady has it that the castle is regularly visited by apparitions of a lady dressed in green, Éléonore de Bouillé, Duchess of Le Lude and former owner of the estate, an unrepentant huntress condemned to wander this place for all eternity...

The inside of the castle is unfortunately not open to the public; however, you can visit the grounds from mid-June to mid-October.
