A renowned Pas-de-Calais destination, the Site of the Capes will charm you with its beautiful scenery. Made up of two impressive cliffs, the capes of Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez face each other on the Opal Coast corniche. A very scenic path connects the two, so you can admire the unspoilt wilderness. Look carefully at the horizon for on a clear day, you can see the English coast.

Cap Blanc-Nez is a white chalk cliff that towers over the coastline from a height of 135 metres. Set off along the hiking paths to explore the coastal landscapes. The view is just as breathtaking from the beach below!

Cap Gris-Nez is not as tall, at "only" 45 metres, but is no less spectacular and is made of sandstone, grey clay and limestone. At the top, a lighthouse around thirty metres tall towers over the region, and paths wind their way through the landscape to show you the site in all its majesty.

Near the two capes, enjoy an idyllic stop in one of the many charming villages like Wissant, Ambleteuse or Wimereux. And if you are fond of ornithology, the Site of the Capes is a good place to spot migratory birds.
