The small town of Nogent-le-Roi has preserved much evidence of its past, as shown by the typical timber-framed houses standing around the charming church. Located by the River Roulebois, the Saint-Sulpice church of the 15th and 16th centuries boasts magnificent stained glass windows.

In the upper part of the town, the castle park is a wonderful place for walkers with deer roaming free, a health trail, footpaths and exhibitions...

Nogent-le-Roi is a small town whose history is very rich, will allow discoveries: the church of Saint-Sulpice and its stained glass windows (listed building), wood-framed houses, the castle and its grounds...

But it is also now a vibrant city that offers visitors numerous shops, restaurants, simple or more elaborate menus, what a very pleasant stay.

For relaxation, you will appreciate the castle park. A children's playground, large spaces for a family picnic, a small "farm" with animals, deer in freedom... The manor Vacheresse les Basses: Nestled in lush greenery, it is one of the oldest houses emblematic sector whose first foundations date back to 1393. Several generations of lords Feugerets succeed the first siteholder Feugeas Flowers (1478). Posted by marriage to the family of Graffard, it is then sold to the Comte de Nogent in 1587 by Madame de Aulnay. From that time, the Lordship of Vacheresse les Basses follow the movement of Nogent-le-Roi. Among the successive owners include the Duc de Noailles, the Marquis de Noailles, the husband of Rameau Prémouville of Maisonthon, the Baroness de la Barre de Nanteuil. Then from 1880 to 1980 the property passed from hand to hand. Joseph Hémard, cartoonist spends a few years, between 1940 and 1950, as the novelist Gilbert Duped. Today, Michele Battut, painter, continues the tradition of artists in this area full of history, draw energy and inspiration.
