There are five lakes in Aveyron, on the vast Lévézou plateau: Lake Pareloup (1290 ha), Lake Villefranche-de-Panat (192 ha), Lake Pont-de-Salars (182 ha), Lake Bages (53 ha) and Lake de la Gourde (16 ha). The biggest one, Lake Pareloup, has two landscaped beaches, in Arvieu and Salles-Curan, and offers numerous leisure activities like bathing, windsurfing, catamaran, canoe-kayak, pedalo, water-skiing and jet skiing. Fishing fans who love restful landscapes will find plenty to enjoy at the lakes of Bages and La Gourde, which are teeming with carnivorous and white fish! The area around the lakes is ideal for hiking, with circuits for walking, cycling and even horse-riding... A very pleasant area with something to suit every taste!
