Boasting wide, sandy beaches, hidden coves, steep coastlines and sought-after seaside resorts, the Jade Coast in Loire-Atlantique is a real paradise for lovers of the sea and breathtaking scenery. It stretches over 43 kilometres, from the Loire Estuary south of Saint-Nazaire to the Breton Vendéen marshlands. Whether you are travelling on foot, by bike or on horseback, take one of the many marked and maintained paths. The most famous is the Customs Officers' Path with its incredible view of the sea: a wonderful itinerary between Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and Les Moutiers-en-Retz is waiting for you to come and discover the many attractions of the Jade Coast! As you walk around, you will no doubt notice the picturesque little huts perched above the sea and connected to land by a simple pontoon. These are called "pêcheries" and are undeniably part of the coastal heritage. Discover the very specific local fishing technique using a net called a carrelet, suspended from long poles to catch the fish.

The Jade Coast has several seaside resorts, like Pornic, Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, La Bernerie-en-Retz and La Plaine-sur-Mer, offering a whole array of activities and leisure facilities. Shellfish-gathering, swimming, water sports, as well as marinas that are lovely for a stroll and lively, picturesque streets, are among the many attractions for visitors of all ages!

The Jade Coast: pleasures of the beach, fishing and water sports (sea, water or sand) in a natural and preserved with 43 km of shoreline that combines rugged coastline, great beaches and intimate coves sand, dotted with fisheries, marinas and nautical bases.

Blue Flag flies over almost all of its beaches and the port of Pornic Noëveillard, single port labeled in Pays de la Loire.
