The Renaissance Château d'Azay-le-Ferron, situated on the border of La Brenne and La Touraine and built from the 15th to the 18th centuries, comprises four separate sections: Frotier tower and the Humières, Francis I and Breteuil wings. Visitors can take a tour of the 18 furnished rooms featuring sumptuous collections of furniture, tapestry, paintings and objets d'art.
The château also boasts wonderful gardens to stroll around and reflect in: a French-style formal garden with yew topiary, a landscape garden with centuries-old trees, a rose garden, kitchen garden and conservation orchard.
