The castle of Berzé, superbly preserved, offers an impregnable point of view on the famous rocks of Solutré and Vergisson.

Overlooking the Mâconnais vineyards and the Voie Verte, you can visit it in fine weather, accompanied by a guide, strolling through its gardens classified as "Remarkable Garden".

The castle, which dates from the thirteenth century, contains a Carolingian chapel from the mid-10th century.

This place built on its rocky spur, dominates the valley with its thirteen towers. The fortress of Berze remains the best preserved castle of southern Burgundy.
