• Water:

• It is not by chance that the Roman Goddess of water Ilixon gave its name to the land of Luchon. Luchon is definitely placed under the sign of water, with its well-being waters that flow in abundance at the Thermes, the magnificent torrents, lakes, springs and waterfalls to be discovered. Leisure and relaxation with family or friends by a lake, angling, fly fishing or kayaking or white water rafting... It is around the water and it is the active mountain.

• Air:

• Breathe, you are in Luchon... So fly your eyes wide open paragliding, gently golf your eyes riveted on the Vénasque, challenge your friend for a game of tennis full lungs, here the purity of the air invites you Sports all-terrain, summer and winter. It's outdoors and it's the active mountain.

• Two wheels :

• Mountain biking / Arapaho / Dirt Monster: 25 circuits (260 km) are marked for mountain biking. These circuits are suitable for all levels of practice, from the introduction to the course requiring solid sports bases. A guide listing them is at your disposal at the Tourist Office. Starting from Superbagnères (1800 m altitude, 1200 m difference in altitude) and thanks to the cable car that connects Luchon to Superbagnères you have access to 70 km of marked itineraries. Bike Park with: a family-oriented itinerary accessible to all, allowing everyone to discover and appreciate the sensations of mountain biking, and the K.Bour "single track" of high level, reserved for experienced practitioners, alternating tight and winding corners, Slope structure and steep slopes (adrenaline rides guaranteed thanks to its 1,200 meters of vertical drop to take with technique and moderate speed!). The Tourist Office will inform you of the working hours of the Gondola and the Bike Park.
• Road cycling: The profile of the surrounding roads allows the practice of a cycling activity of all levels (cyclotourism, cyclosport, preparation for competition). The Office of Tourism will give you a card proposing you easy circuits to make in family, sportier rides as well as the routes of mythical passes around Luchon (Peyresourde, Portillon, Menté, Superbagnères...).

• 9-hole golf course, the oldest in Midi-Pyrénées (created in 1908), located in a unique setting at the foot of the 3000 m mountains that surround Luchon.

Luchon around ... in and off!

Come party at Luchon International Film Festival each February, the Flower Festival in August, to celebrate joyfully the late summer and vacation ... These are all joys, of laughter, colors, pleasures of being together. All summer, Luchon invites you to discover the mountain around many themed weekends and is also active mountain.

Eyeful! Look all around you, everything here is beauty, majesty. Because coming into the country of Luchon is to first take majestic sites, magnificent views of the Comminges, on the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. It's look deeply into the most beautiful valleys as Larboust Valley, the valley of Oueil or the Lys Valley. Racetrack in the Aran Valley, Spanish Valley parallel to the valley of Luchon. Luchon, take to Spain by the neck of the gate. Very nice winding mountain road crossing the border 7 miles away. The Spanish side leads downhill in Val d'Aran. Can continue until Vielha (first major Spanish city) or take in the direction of France by Lez and St. Beatus.
