Itinerary

On the left of the Bar le Pénalty, make your way down to the bridge leaving the beach road on the left after 100 m. Cross the bridge over the Doux and take a small path on the right that climbs up to the Chemin des Vignes; by bicycle, continue for 100 m before taking the path on the right. From here, it is possible to follow signs to the "arboretum". You will lengthen the loop slightly in order to enjoy the arboretum and the landscape interpretation table. Otherwise, continue on the main path along the Doux and its wetland. On your left, the old terraces. You will arrive at Beneyte stream, continue to the sports field then Buisson bridge, a very old bridge over the former Aubenas-Annonay road. Turn immediately right on to the path, cross the departmental road with care and take the small road opposite past the Désaignes sawmill. The local wood is a major resource here. Opposite, you will see the old vines on the terraces. When you arrive at Syalles bridge, cross it and take the small path on the right that climbs up to the town. Return to where you started after passing through the village along its narrow streets, past its castle and its medieval centre.
