Access

Starting point: Car park in the hamlet of St Caprais.

Itinerary

Set out towards Monclar de Quercy. On the right: church, 17th century painted wood retable. Take the first path on the left which leads to the Simbels Ascamet wooded massif. On the way out of the woods, cross "Le Ramayret" stream. Walk up towards Besplosses. Turn left at the wayside cross and follow the tarmac road for 300 m. Turn right down into the valley and cross the Bruguette stream. Climb up to the Guignettes Farm and the road. Turn right and descend towards the Tescounet valley via Chemin du Camp de Poutounet. You will arrive at the D36. Turn right on to it and follow it for 200 m. After a culvert, turn left on to a dirt track leading to Tescounet which crosses a ford. Climb up the hill along Chemin de Jacobiel. Turn right and follow the tarmac road for about 1.7 km. Descend towards Les Pradelles, a bridge provides a crossing over the Tescounet. The St Caprais car park is nearby.
