After Névache, High Town, take the Haute Vallée direction (by car) and drive 6 km to Fontcouverte. Park in front of the campsite then hit the road, walking in the opposite direction to the bridge that crosses the Clarée. The trailhead is after the bridge on the left.
After about 45 minutes - 1 hour walk, you will arrive at Ricou Refuge. After the refuge, continue on the GR towards the lakes. The first lake you reach (about 1h30 from the start) is Laramon Lake, Lake of the Serpent is still 20-30 minutes away !
Return by the same route.
