Access

This circuit is a closed loop. The departure can be from any point of the loop but it is however advisable to leave from the SNCF station of Diemeringen.

It is also possible to park on Place du Château, just below the station, and start the walk by passing under the nearby SNCF bridge.

Itinerary

Departure: SNCF station of Diemeringen. After having reached the old place of the castle then the district of the coolers while passing under the bridge SNCF, leave the borough by a grassy agricultural path. Crossing the wood called "Fuerstenwald" where you can observe many shrubs and calcareous plants. Reach the village of Lorentzen: possibility of observing here the typical houses of Alsace Bossue, the "Schopfhus". Crossing the Grand'rue, which will reveal the remarkable heritage of the town. Back to Diemeringen. Passage near the Jewish cemetery. Diemeringen was home to a large Jewish community until the middle of the 20th century.
