Access

From Place de l'écho in La Chaise-Dieu, continue up the large road and cross over it to the fire station where you will find the first sign.

Itinerary

1 - Turn left after the village hall on to the dirt track which, slightly further on, continues into the forest.

2 - Turn right on to the road and follow it through Breuil Forest to the crossroads.

3 - Take the grassy path on the left towards Breuil Lake.

4 - Follow the right bank of this lake to the road, cross it and follow the Fossés des Moines along the path which heads into the forest.

5 - Cross the Senouire over a footbridge. The path then crosses a forest road and continues through the trees.

6 - After a steep climb, you will arrive at a path running at right angles, turn left to the clearing where you will find the hand of Saint Robert.

7 - Turn right at the edge of the forest and enter the wood again past the old granary: the square house.
