Walk up Rue du Général de Gaulle, after the fishing lake, continue for 500 m to the end of the valley, leave the tarmac road on the right and turn on to a path suitable for motor vehicles.
If you arrive by car, park at the side of the path, do not take Chemin du Braun on the left (steep) but continue for 500 m. After 15 mins, on your left, a path will lead you to Bruscher waterfall 20 mins away. The same route will lead you back to where you started.
To explore the botanical trail after the fishing lake on your right, follow the holly leaf, the Club Vosgien's emblem, which will guide you to the starting point after the former Deiss factory. The path follows old pastures and along the entire route, signs provide the names of trees and their characteristics, common trees which sometimes take on strange forms in fairytales. To access the chapel, take Dengelberg path (steep!) but, after all the hard work, there is a beautiful view over the entire valley and you can even ring the bell at the chapel.
Retrace your footsteps for the descent and follow the path to the end to return via Rue du 2 Décembre or Rue Haute.
