In the village centre, from the main square, take Rue de la Grangette opposite the water tank.
Depart from the main square at the water tank, take Rue de la Grangette, then follow the forest trail on the right and turn left and continue to follow the trail. Leave a section of the trail on the right which leads up towards the mines (north) and keep going. Before the television mast, turn left either along the wide path on the ridge or along the small path on the south-eastern slope.
When you arrive at the site, you will be overlooking the three villages of Graissessac, Saint Etienne and Camplong. As you look north-north-eastwards, you will see the Camp Nègre wind farm, a successful mining conversion.
To return, take the path on the left towards the television mast and continue straight ahead along the mining trail and turn right along the same trail towards the Puits Durand. Descend to the river and cross the bridge over the Espaze. Turn left on to the communal road at the Puits Durand residence and enter the village. As you leave, remember to take a look at the old restored station.
