LOCALISATION IN THE MEURTHE-ET-MOSELLE

Place Stanislas (6 km) – The splendid 18th century architecture of this pedestrianised square in Nancy has resulted in its place in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Fine Arts Museum (Musée des Beaux Arts) is on the square’s western side and there are many other museums in and around the area including the Musée de l'École de Nancy and the Musee du Lorraine amongst others. Metz (55 km) – Metz is the capital of the Lorraine région and is located at the confluence of the Moselle and the Seille rivers. The spectacular Cathedral St. Etienne is well worth a visit. Baccarat (60 km) – This small town is the home of The Baccarat crystal works, world-famous for their glass and crystal artwork. The Musée du Cristal, owned by the company, is Lorraine's biggest private museum. Verdun (133 km) – Verdun was one of the major battlefields of World War I and is now the home of the World Centre for Peace, Freedom and Human Rights.
