Corsican olive oil is the result of millennium-old tradition of olive cultivation on the Mediterranean island. The mild climate and uniqueterrainof Corsica make it an ideal landscape for the cultivation of this popular fruit. This product now has a PDO, which guarantees it is produced and processed in Corsica. It has also long been the economic wealth of the island.

It is difficult to describe the taste of Corsican olive oil, also known as Oliu di Corsica, because it has so many different flavours. Upon tasting it, you smell the scent of walnut, olive or almond. It adds a marvellous flavour to a vinaigrette, a slice of bread, or any dish with olive oil.

Produced using a mixture of age-old traditions and modern methods, Corsican olive oil is fragrant with the scent of the local scrubland, and one feels immediately transported to this island paradise.

In April, you can attend the Festa di l'Oliu Novu, in the village of Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano. This is an opportunity to discover different culinary products from Corsica, and enjoy many activities.
