L'Ile Adeline

We stayed for a week and there are two major pluses for this site. The people are great with limited but sufficient English and the lake across the road is magnificent with loads to do. The downside is the area for tents. It is a field at the back of the campsite which is a huge hill. It was almost empty when we got there so we got a relatively flat area but once more busy it would be impossible to pitch and sleep in a tent on most of the hill. I would definitely visit the site again but we would ask for a plot of land next time (usually reserved for caravans or tents with electricity).

This campsite was a very good one, and we would definitely return. The people who own it are very nice, and speak English. Reasonable prices. Facilities are clean and very good. There are sinks to wash up etc and the showers are nice. However there are no toilet seats, but I understand that this is a French thing. There is a room near reception where there is a fridge, freezer, microwave, and other facilities that are free for anyone to use. The area is lovely, however it's remote unless you have a mode of transport. I would recommend this campsite. Pitches are of a decent size and are separated by hedges.

Stayed here for one night 8th June in our motorhome. Lovely site, restaurant etc not open as very early in season. The walks by the lake are lovely, the dog loved the area. Facilities were very good and clean. Great site very relaxing after a day of travelling.

Happy but tired after the noise and crowds of the Le Mans 24 hours, we found this site a wonderful place to unwind. The welcome, (English speaking), and the amenities were excellent. The location was also ideal, with a beautiful lake to walk around just a few metres away. After pitching our tent, we had an evening meal in a local restaurant, then on returning relaxed by the lake with drinks before a great night's sleep. Thoroughly recommended.

The site was clean, quiet and welcoming. It is run by a family to a high standard of cleanliness hospitality is good and an English speaking owner. Any problems like gas need renewing then they can be contacted anytime day or night. The site is surrounding by beautiful views, a lake on one side and a river on the other. Not far away is the beautiful cathedral city of Rouen well worth a visit and only an hour away from Paris.

Séjour agréable, accueil chaleureux, chambre propre confortable bonne literie, wc séparé de la salle de bain trés bien - Petit déjeuné trés bien manque un peu de salé (jambon, fromage)
