- Eleventh edition of Pierres en Lumières at Bernières. - The 12th and 13th century M.H. church of Bernières will once again be ablaze with 1,000 candles, inviting visitors to take a medieval stroll through the Romanesque nave, its vaults and arches illuminated, accompanied by musicians from APEC. The walk will be enlivened by a slide show of representations of the church in different eras : paintings, architectural drawings, photos from the 19th century, and a virtual visit by drone. - At the end of each tour, visitors will be offered an illustrated document… and Norman delicacies. - The church's decor seems to have been created under the patronage of Bayeux Cathedral. The canon "Grand Thrésorier" of the bishopric was the real "patron" of the village, and held his manor in Bernières until the Revolution.

- Local councillor Myriam Moulin, a specialist in the town ? S history, will be offering guided tours of the "Marcel Ouimet" trail, with 14 panels featuring the correspondence of this Radio Canada war reporter, private correspondence with his wife, and an uncensored account of the D-Day landings. - The tour starts at the Maison des Canadiens, the 1st house in France to be liberated by sea, and moves on to the Maison des Reporters de Guerre (where the war staff set up to communicate radio and TV reports), passing through the Parc Georges Regnauld (witness to the landings), the Isle des Français, and ending at Place Marcel Ouimet.

While you wait for the big regional fireworks display on the beach, with the group Les Dépanneurs. This concert, presented by the municipality, will take you on a journey to Quebec with its danceable tunes. - Not to be missed !
Pique-Nique de la Libération

- The public is invited to picnic on the Place du 6 juin on June 1st. - Bring your own picnic, and the municipality will provide tables and chairs and an aperitif, while you listen to musical entertainment in anticipation of the regional fireworks display on the beach at the end of the Place du 6 juin, at 11.30pm.
Reconstitution Camp Militaire - Camp Nan White

- Reconstruction of a military camp orchestrated by Les Compagnons du Souvenir des Alliés and Les Amis Normands du Régiment de la Chaudière. - Come and discover numerous military vehicles, tents and an infirmary. - A concert will be held on Sunday June 09 at 3pm on the French Islet, to close this week of celebrations. The group Les Marie-Claire will perform songs from the 40s.
Concert les Fils de Juno

- After the parade of military vehicles, proposed by Coeur de Nacre Tourisme, accompanied by pipe bands, the municipality of Bernières proposes a concert by the group "Les Fils de Juno" from 6pm to 8:30pm. - Les Fils de Juno is a country-folk band from Normandy, formed on the emblematic shores of Juno Beach, combining the haunting melodies of country-folk with poetic French lyrics.
Défilé de Véhicules et Pipe Bands à Bernières-sur-Mer

- Coeur de Nacre Tourism proposes a musical meeting of pipe bands on the place of June 6th and in front of the House of the Canadians in Bernières-sur-Mer. The players will arrive in period vehicles which will be exposed in the vicinity, the time of the musical representation.

- The municipality will be welcoming the "Marque-page" association, represented by Martine Förster Bourdin and Patrice Bourdin, to the Salle de la Mer. - The two storytellers will offer readings of texts and poems describing the D-Day landings, interspersed with songs from the 40s.
